WHAT MAN OUGHT TO BELIEVE CONCERNING GOD
Q. 6. What do the Scriptures make known of God?
A. The Scriptures make known what God is, the persons in the Godhead, his decrees, and the execution of his decrees.
Q. 7. What is God?
A. God is a Spirit, in and of himself infinite in being, glory, blessedness, and perfection; all-sufficient, eternal, unchangeable, incomprehensible, everywhere present, almighty, knowing all things, most wise, most holy, most just, most merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.
Q. 8. Are there more Gods than one?
A. There is but one only, the living and true God.

A. There is but one only, the living and true God.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. —Hebrews 11:6
In “the execution of his decrees”, God has declared himself to be “a rewarder of those who seek him.” This is a simple, yet profound, truth. God rewards those who seek him. To understand this, we must answer the question, “How, or with what, does he reward them?” The answer is found in the promise: He is a rewarder of those who seek him. The reward is not earthly position or wealth. It is not worldly success. It is God himself. Those who seek him will find him. There will be none left wandering about, outside of fellowship with God, who truly desired and pursued him. Everyone who seeks him will find him.
